How I can help you play?

Have you tried learning on your own- but nothing seems to stick?
Private lessons may be exactly what you’re looking for.

A Learning System

You’ll start lessons learning individual notes, one string at a time, until you can play a whole scale. Then you’ll add chords and note reading to your musical palette. No crazy finger contortions, just basic chords and simple melodies.

You’ll find that the songs and exercises are not too easy, nor too difficult. So progressing from one level to the next feels doable but still interesting. You’ll have the right amount structure. You’ll have a consistent learning curve. And soon you’ll have the ability to play with confidence.

Feedback

I’ll be able to fill you in on your blind spots. It’s easy to waste a lot of time if you’re trying to learn on your own. You may fall into bad habits. Bad habits can be corrected but it takes time and effort.

Learning proper technique, for example, is not something you’re going to learn through watching videos. Gaining a sense of rhythm is also much easier (and more fun!) if you have someone there in- person, helping you out.

A Mentor

You’ll enjoy a positive, supportive environment each time you check-in for lessons. I’ll help you stay motivated. Each week you’ll get guidance on what to practice and how to practice.

You’ll spend less time spinning your wheels. You’ll be in a better position to take productive action. Action that will move you towards becoming a better player
